From farm to your kitchen- Why our Extracts taste better!
Our Epicurious Hedgehog line of flavour extracts are made using only natural ingredients.
EXTRACTS: We work with hand-harvested crops (vanilla pods, orange peels, and cacao bean husks) and sun dry them to the right moisture content for use in our traditional extraction method. A low-temperature process is used to ensure we capture most of the delicate flavour compounds from these aromatic plants.
VANILLA: Our gourmet beans are grown exclusively by smallholder farmers in the Kilimanjaro, Morogoro and Kagera regions of Tanzania, giving a unique taste due to the climatic and soil conditions in each area.
Using the power of the sun our vanilla beans are then sun dried, transforming them from a green pod to a near-black, vanillin-rich spice
Extracted to Perfection
The pods are then processed in a low temperature, efficient extractor and filtered to get a glossy finish. Our operations strive to be ecologically friendly, and we actively try to reduce the impact on the environment through recycling and reduction of consumables.
We use recycled and biodegradable materials as much as possible.

All processes at our facility are run by local women with at most care for quality.
